When you consider the acronym ATGATT, the motorcycle safety gear that comes to mind is the helmet. In 2015, the use of motorcycle helmets saved an estimated 1,772 lives, and 740 lives could have been spared had the motorcyclist worn a helmet. Whether the law requires it or not, you should ALWAYS ride with a helmet.

How many of you get on you motorcycle without putting your helmet on? For that matter how many of you don't even have a helmet at all? I ask these questions because I read a lot of articles on motorcycle safety, have taken a few safety courses in my day, and heard a lot of argument pros and cons about wearing a helmet.

The road can be a very unforgiving environment. Having a good-quality motorcycle helmet can make the difference between life and death.
